Kizhi treatment in Ayurveda is indicated in problems related to the muscles, bones and joints. The word Elakizhi means Leaf bolus (Ela – leaf; Kizhi – bolus/poultice). It involves the use of leaves that are fried in herbal oil and tied onto a linen cloth to form a bolus (a thick bag).
